Geiger is a book that keeps you intrigued from the first page and doesn't let up. The story moves at a fast pace with lots of dark secrets that one family lives with that have affected so many other lives. There are many strands to this story -- Cold War, Spies. Sexual Abuse plus the main character Sara's own family story. The constant mentioning of Swedish unpronouncable place names I found annoying but on the whole the writing was easy to read and the characters interesting. Although Sara is a family person in her job as a policewoman she seems a bit of a loose canon which doesn't please her superiors. When you start reading this book you think the main character is Agneta but in fact she appears in only a few pages and I was wanting to know her story but had to wait to find out. I found this book kept me engrossed until the final page with the many twists and turns.
