This is the third in this series featuring disgraced ex MI6 agent Marc Dane and his colleague Lucy Keyes, who has equally been disowned her previous employers, the US Special Forces. They both work for the Rubicon Group, a private security company, who do things governments won’t and which is run by an African business man who’s willing to use his power and money to defeat those whose ethics leave much to be desired. This novel introduces us into the depths of the dark web, a data crunching race through different countries and into those areas uninhabited by anything but hackers who live in the darkness. This is an exciting race involving terrorists whose beliefs are more to do with revenge than ideology and will use the immense power of, until now, unused and unimagined digital weapons. If half of this story where to come to pass and who is to say it won’t, it should send shivers up the readers spine. A really great thiller.
