James Swallow spins an intricate tale full of action and thrills. I could barely keep up with his well-researched story packed full of both violence and technology. He builds a horribly possible high-stakes scenario with huge implications for future terrorism and provides us with quick-thinking and well-trained operatives, on both sides.

His characters are believable, though rare, types. His well-painted locations are wide-spread and often exotic. His pace is, quite frankly, frenetic. His plot is superbly woven. His explanations are coherent, timely and sufficiently plausible - but never boring. His range covers finance, business, technology, geography, weapons, hand-to-hand combat, computer hacking, physical security and information security.

If any of this attracts then I recommend you read this novel yourself. I realise there are two earlier books in the series but I haven't read them and so I'm confident you can enjoy Ghost as a stand-alone novel.
