This was a really pleasant read. I really enjoyed the complexity of all of the characters and the lovely warm relationship between Aideen and her gran. Although somewhat of a character, Millie had an endearing quality that had you rooting for her and hoping that she would get her revenge in the end. Aideen's story was also very interesting and compelling. My heart ached for her being sent away to boarding school and having to leave her family and perfect sister behind. There really wasn't anything at all that I could fault about this book. It was fun and enjoyable and I looked forward to picking it up each night for some light hearted entertainment before bed.

I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a nice, easy going read. Thoroughly inoffensive and very engaging from the very start. I will definitely read more from Rebecca Hardiman in the future.
