Colourful and fun
My initial thoughts on this book were 'fun' and 'colourful', judged on the wonderful front cover and eye-catching design. The Gogarty's are a funny bunch of characters, and it was definitely amusing to follow along with each of their mishaps! My favourite was possibly Millie, the 83 year old thief!
I did find it quite hard to really get into 'Good Eggs', and I can't put my finger on the exact reason why; I think it was quite hard to relate to some of the characters in the early chapters, and I didn't find myself engrossed in their stories, as I perhaps should have been. Nevertheless, the book is an easy, light-hearted read, and I would recommend to others who are searching for a new genre or type of book to enjoy. It was also written well, and laid out in a format in which I enjoy, i.e. with relatively short chapters, separated by characters.
