The story follows the Gogarty's, who are a typical dysfunctional family. Millie (the quirky and eccentric grandmother), Kevin (the stay at home dad who is struggling to find a new job) and Aideen (the rebellious teenager).
I loved how the story is told from 3 different povs. I enjoyed reading the different perspectives. I really liked the characters but I was not a fan of Kevin, his character could occasionally be slightly frustrating. I thought Millie the grandmother was great fun, I loved her.
I did find it a bit hard to get into the book at the beginning. I did not feel the urge to pick up the book to read more. Also, sometimes I felt as if the chapters did not flow together well. It went from one perspective then jumped to somewhere else. I did struggle to finish this book, it did not really interest me that much.
Overall, I think this was a good read although I wasn't blow away. The author did a great job at her first novel.
