I am going to be honest: I wasn't expecting much from this book. I found the concept of the shop-lifting grandmother quite funny and interesting, yet I wasn't totally ecstatic about 'Good Eggs'.
However, the story proved me incredibly wrong, and I enjoyed every single chapter of it.
The grandmother was just hilarious and unusual and I loved her scene: I always had a good laugh when the chapter was from her point of view.
I enjoyed the story of Aideen, of Kevin, and their big family, their rows with each other, arguments, jokes and etcetera.
I loved the story, it can be relatable and I think many readers can relate to families being loud, noisy and messy, as well as funny and loving.
The book cover was so cute, and I believe it well relates to the story, with its bright yellow colour, and Aideen, Millie and Kevin on the cover (Millie riding the bicycle has a special place in my heart!)
I loved this book and I highly recommend it.
