This book is a great one. Lively, fun from beginning to end. Every word, Every phrase. The characters are full of colour, and bright and earthy. The book is very much character driven, and was from the onset of the storyline, which i am not complaining about. As the characters were beyond fruitful and joyous to read about.
The use of different aged children, and parents and grandparents was a great way to bring the reality in to family and childhood. Great writing, great realism!
The realism of the grandparents, the forgetfulness, her not doing so well. It all was just put together so very well.
