I was initially attracted to this book by the cover and although the famous quote says you should never judge a book by the cover, I certainly did and was not disappointed because I was absolutely blown away by the plot, characters and writing within.
The novel offers an exploration into some of life's biggest hard to swallow pills and, without offering too much about the plot as to spoil it, the inciting incidents are those that may of us have or will experience within our lifetime - be that to us personally or a close friend or family member.
however, the writing style is one of comfort and safety, offering the reader a safe space to unpick these ordeals and empathise with the characters who are suffering tribulations in their own life.
There is a very good balance of happy and sad throughout the plot, making it quirky and equally heart-breaking and heart-warming. It gets better and better and I would highly recommend.
