This book was a fantastic read. From the cover you would expect a light hearted romance - however this book covers so many important issues from hate crime, racism, family secrets, illness and so much more.
The Author has written a book she should absolutely be proud of. She has managed to write a book that is easy to read, that appeals to different audiences and tastes and also covers hard hitting issues - above all that, she has managed to achieve this so seamlessly.
We learn about the main characters and the relationships with their families at a steady pace. The Author has written a story inspired by You've Got Mail - with a wonderful, original twist to it.
The only reason this was not a 5 star read for me, was because there seemed to be something lacking in the story. There was an absence of stand out chapters, scenes, revelations.
Overall, however, this was an enjoyable read and is highly recommended.
