This book was a good easy read. It covered some tough topics but in a way that was easily relatable and brought to the attention of the reader.
The cover art is interesting and very colourful which drew me in instantly! The story had parts with humour and parts with sadness which made it a nice book to read, and was difficult to put down.
I think the only criticism I would have is that I found the ending quite predictable - don’t worry I won’t spoil it for anyone who hasn’t read it yet!
It was interesting to see the point of view from someone who has experienced a hate-motivated attack and learnt how to cope with the after affects particularly as this is something I am lucky enough to have never experienced.
The writer shows this in a way that is easy to read but also portrays the seriousness of the subject and how it affects people in the real world.
