This was such a great story and definitely one I would re read.
This is the story of hana Khan who’s family own and run a halal restaurant which is not doing so well.so when a competitor opens its a new restaurant very nearby it spells the end for the khans business. Hana turns to her anonymous podcast and a listener she has become very close to for advice. Hana meets Aydin who’s family owns the rival business and she just can’t figure him out.
I am not used to books like these or stories involving people of different religions ethnicity’s etc and so I was very eager to read this book as just another fluffy read, this book gave me so much more and must say I thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
I was really shocked by the racism Hana experienced and really felt for her character. It opened my eyes to a lot of things going on this world and the fear that people live through every day.
