I have only just read the blurb and the first look, which have both definitely piqued my interest. It is very hard to find books about ethnic minorities, written by ethnic minorities and representing ethnic minorities well so I would like to see how this book holds up. It is very hard to get the tone right and find yourself accurately represented in a book so I am excited to read further. It seems like a very fun, lighthearted book at the moment but I am happy to be proven wrong. I am hoping to purchase this book to support the author and I will then update my review. I like the cover of the book, it is very attractive and a head turner which drew my attention to the book at first. I think it is a good way of bringing an audience in. I am excited to read about the main characters personal life but also how it intertwined with a romantic love interest too.
