This is Uzma Jalaluddin, the author's second book based on the film, 'You've got mail.'

The story centers around the titled character Hana Khan who is 24 years old and hosts a podcast when she isn't working as an intern at CKJP radio station or at her family's small Halal Indian restaurant in Toronto, Canada. The restaurant is called 'Three Sisters Biryani Poutine.' Hana loves the biryani poutine so it was named after her favourite dish.

Hana loves radio and podcasts so she decided to do her own podcast. Her podcast, Ana's Brown Girl Rambles has one loyal supporter, a boy nicknamed Stanley P. He always supports her with amusing or constructive comments. It seems like they both like each other despite they don't know anything real about each other.

Then Hana meets Aydin and his father who plan to open a new halal burger joint at the same street. Their small restaurant is already struggling and Aydin’s father acts hostile towards local businesses. Hana despite finding it difficult to resist Aydin's charms, does the best to help her family.

The story itself is written in first person so you can understand Hana's viewpoint and feelings more. The font changes to show the podcast messages so you can read the messages too.

I found the story appealing because it has that boy meets girl/ love to hate relationship. It definitely reminded me of 'You've got mail' but with more diverse characters and nowadays issues.
