Home - My Life In the Universe by Mark Ballabon is certainly a thought-provoking book. It is written for the young adult market, and I am sure that its intended readers will enjoy it immensely. Being somewhat older, I did not enjoy it as much as I had hoped.

The actual book itself is impressive. It feels nice and heavy for a paperback, due to the excellent quality of the paper on which it is printed. The cover is lovely, and each chapter (or "window") begins with a beautiful full-page colourful illustration. Other charming illustrations are dotted throughout its pages, making this an appealing book.

I did, however, struggle with the storyline. It was a bit "preachy" at times regarding climate change, and I felt that parts of it could have been a little clearer. I couldn't always grasp what was going on, particularly with Leah's out-of-body experiences (although a teenager may probably not have the same problem!) and I found it dragged a little in the middle, whilst the ending was quite rushed.
