I loved this book so much, it is a fantastic YA read and I would definitely recommend this book. The book follows Amir's journey in Rome, where he starts to discover who he really is and where he feels accepted by his new friends and doesn't have to hide his true self.
I enjoyed the different points of view throughout the book. The story consisted of chapter's building up to the interrogation scene (Amir's time in Rome) and also from Amir's point of view and his families in the interrogation scenes.

I really liked this book as it gave a great understanding of the religious views some people may have and the acceptance of Amir's sexuality by his family. It also showed some of the struggles Amir came across, when keeping his secret.

There are many important themes, we come across throughout the book, such as bullying, sexual orientation, religion etc, which are easy to relate to in the modern world.

The author, Arvin Ahmadi, has done a fantastic job and writing this book and I love how it is based on true events!
