After reading a pretty dark and intense novel, I needed a soft contemporary novel to give me a pick-me-up and this definitely did the trick!

A LGBTQ+ novel set in one of my favourite cities in the world? Hell yes! And it most certainly didn't disappoint, it was so fun to read about the streets of Rome again but through another's perspective. And the descriptive writing was so wonderful and incredible in terms of capturing the essence of the city!

This book, I feel is definitely an important read too! Especially with the insight it gives to growing up muslim and being a gay individual. The writing definitely gives an in-depth look into the religion and the views that come with it. And in a way this book can be important to teens who are in fact LGBTQ+, dealing with life issues and come from a muslin home.

Overall a great read, I loved every aspect and can't wait to read more of this author's work!
