I really liked the opening to How To Belong. I think there seems to be a lot of loss in the main character's life (hopefully I haven't misunderstood!) and Christmas can be a very difficult time when there is so much focus on being with loved ones. I think this book would likely be a tonic for a lot of people and I'd be very interested to read more.
