The opening chapters describes paint a group of friends gathered for the memorial of a friend they all had in common. I got the feeling that the (so-called) friends don't actually like one another that much, or at least there's past history that lies beneath the surface. Although I admired the set-up and I can see this one appealing to mystery fans, I don't think it's really my thing.
