I loved this! What an amazing book. I don't know if I would have picked it up just based on the cover but I'm so glad I read it. I don't think I have ever read a book about domestic abuse that is so frank. The message is so serious but it is still a really readable novel with a lot of relatable characters. The story is gripping and I liked that Ria's story is interspersed with Tania's diary entries. Many parts are absolutely heart breaking but there is an underlying message of hope. The suspense was there right to the end and I enjoyed how the story came together. The ending was good as it was realistic and everything doesn't get too neatly tied up. I will definitely look out for other books by Jacqueline Ward as I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
