Great potential
This book was really well written and it was full of suspense.
The main character Ria, who runs a centre for abused women is being stalked and tormented by a person from her past. She has two children to worry about and her husband, Danny is working abroad. Until he does something physical and Ria can identify him, the police are unable to do anything to protect her.
Throughout this plotline, there is another in the form of a diary of an abused woman, Tanya.
I was able to see where the plot was going to go half way in so the 'twist' at the end was no big surprise.
The biggest problem I had with this book (which is why it has a three and not a four) is it was a little bit 'preachy'. At times I felt like I was reading a campaign leaflet for a women's refuge. Whilst this is a very serious and important topic and one that is integral to the plot, at times the plot seemed secondary to the message about domestic abuse.
However, it is a good page turner and a thrilling read for those dark, cold evenings.
