This book is a very powerful, hard hitting read.
At first I thought it was going to be the complete opposite to what it was. Who was stalking Ria ? What linked the refuge and the stalker ? So many questions.
The way the story unfolds is powerful yet sensitive and the detail is superb, I feel like I can visualise each character and that I know them which doesn’t always happen in a book.
Domestic abuse is dealt with in a very frank and yet also sensitive way. I wouldn’t say I was gripped by the book, more entranced, I had to keep going and I had to know how it all ended.
Sad at the end but a stark reminder that I am sure this is sadly often the case.
