Initially engrossing and engaging, I found How to Play Dead got more confusing and less coherent as the book went on. It could have been shorter, as I felt that there was a lot of repetition.
It was definitely a page turner, and I did read on to find out what happened - but it didn't blow me away like I was expecting it to from the outset.
