I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this book to review from #Readers Frirst and #Corvus. I wasn’t sure what it was about and how it would unfold. I couldn’t put this down. I wanted to see how the plot would unfold both for the main strong female lead and for those in her charge. I believe the research into this book is spot on. There’s a love story in the background, but it centres on Ria the main character described by others as “superwoman” - looking after her family and a women’s refuge where the plight of abused women unfolds with some terrible and tragic events. It’s disturbing how this goes on and makes you question life. Then the unthinkable happens and she starts getting unwanted messages. Again, disturbing look on what the police can’t do about this and where this can lead. It really is a brilliant read, and made me think differently about mine and other people’s life. I hope myself and my friends are never in any of these women’s positions and can only prey for others who find themselves victims of abuse or stalking.
