Really enjoyed this one, didn't know much about her as a person but feel I learned a lot.
Growing up in the seventies and eighties we hear of Grace's childhood and growing up in a working class background where food was the stalwart of the family home.
Most of her remembrances growing up relate to certain foods and the memories they evoke even down to a chocolate bar and occasions when it was eaten.
Even as an adult her whole career has been based around food becoming a food critic and TV celebrity.
From looking after a sick father and struggling with family problems Grace has seemingly come from nowhere and made a name for herself doing what she does best.
This was such an honest memoir and highlights the importance of even junk food or just plain simple fare and the role it plays in our lives.
Beautifully written and a really enjoyable read.
