Beautiful storytelling infused with subtle humour. There is a passion to this, a madness that you want to get at and understand: her characters are self-aware but flawed, they will face a lesson and I'm so drawn to this that I want to see how they overcome it.

It's tragic but written so it's also quietly unassuming. (Like the cover, which really works for it!) Not bitter, subtle and also light: delicately funny. Joan Siber writes bold, brave to display vulnerability while spinning it into a better, more ideal, perspective. This is a book, on the basis of first impression alone, reaches to the heart directly.
