OK, I'll admit that at first I struggled a bit and wondered if this was for me. It's not an easy read but I am so glad I came back to it! (Thinking must've been me not the book first attempt!)
I was well and truly hooked. The characters are perfectly developed and leap out from the page. Reyna's story is told with love, compassion and humour. I felt what she was going through, but the emotion and drama were real not self indulgent which is a real joy to read.
The cover is very symbolic....life's rich tapestry!
I would highly recommend this book - it well deserves the accolades and awards it has received - and I will certainly read more by this author. Well worth persevering with. My only real criticism? ...I didn't want it to end!!
