Whilst it is undeniably well written, there does seem to be both an assumption that the reader is familiar with certain areas and political events and then it will suddenly go in to great detail about one particular event that was widely publicised. I found the dichotomy very odd.
Whilst the first impression held my general interest I do not think this is the book for me. For me political belief is an intensely personal thing and whilst it stands up to debate you cannot debate with a book.
