I was particularly excited to read this book as a firm lover of crime/police novels. However I can't say I was particularly blown away by this book. Written by Anne Holt it appears that she is a longstanding crime author, however I can't say that I have heard of her before. I found that the storyline was particularly slow to develop, and didn't really have the adrenaline flowing. It lacked the fast pace that crime novels normally tend to have. The book contained investigations into several different crimes and storylines, however failed to link them together effectively. I did hope that it would be one of those books where it is all brought together at the end however, alas, it did not. Instead it had a very disappointing end.
