I enjoyed this first impression. This is the story of a mother and her daughter, told when each of them is aged seventeen. Marilyn has just met Angie's father James, and Angie is about to embark on a journey to find him. It's a nicely-written book, told from two different perspectives. The story was easy to follow, and I would be keen to read the rest of the book to find out what happened in the past and what happens next.
