I have to begin by mentioning that the cover is absolutely beautiful. The book itself is also wonderful, of course. The first chapter sets the scene and entices the reader effortlessly. Our main protagonist is savvy, smart and reminiscent of Celaena Sardothien. While lovable, she is no saint and I, personally, like that in a character.
The story is well-paced, engaging, and excellently written. I particularly like the writing style. The plot is also not as stereotypical and dull as you might think. As I said in the title, this is for fans of Six of Crows and such books with witty dialogue and fascinating characters that are introduced beautifully as the story progresses.
I highly recommend you give this book a go. As an experienced fantasy reader, I was expecting to be disappointed, but this pleasantly surprised me. A good read you won’t regret!
