Overall I think this looks like a very gripping sequel and one I’d love to continue reading.

This seems like an interesting read; having really enjoyed her first novel, The Dark Lake, I’d absolutely love to read more about the brilliant character that is Gemma. The extract seems to offer more of an insight into her work as a Detective and her private life too – who she is away from the day job. The cover looks really atmospheric and is very visually pleasing, and it fits in well into this genre. Overall I think this looks like a very gripping sequel and one I’d love to continue reading.
