This book is quite light reading with humour and fun, but entertaining as it is, it also takes on some more serious topics and issues. The story covers in some ways; sexting, grooming and the effect these have on others.

Glass Lake school is busy preparing for its annual musical production, which is also going to be featured on TV. Beverley is busy doing what she can to make the performance something special, but then her daughter is involved in sending inappropriate photos on her phone, the fallout from this upsets the rehearsals and eventually impacts on the whole school community. The playground politics and differences then come into play as everyone has their own ideas on what should happen.

There are so many really different and fun characters in this story, just like you find on the school playground! The timeline jumps about a bit but everything becomes clear by the end of the book, so it works really well. There are some laugh out loud moments in this and a great storyline, I really enjoyed it.
