I basically finished this novel and run here to write my review!

It started with a Tweet is the story of Daisy, a woman obsessed with living her life through social media, until one of her tweets costs her her job, so she ends up having a digital detox with her sister in the countryside.

Firstly I would like to state that I am a 25 year old girl who doesn't have facebook and who generally diapproves of the whole social media dependance. Of course I don't live in a cave and I do use Instagram but I don't like when people overshare everything and stop actually living. That is why I first disliked Daisy! I found her character naive and a bit stupid about her social media use. I know she meant the fatal tweet as a joke, but still I can't see someone wanting to publish something like that. But throughout the novel, I found myself warming up to her and actually rooting for her as I saw her change and evolve(kind of like a coming of age story but in her thirties).
Another part I really enjoyed about this book as the romance. The first mention of Jack had me hoping for something to happen between them, in the so beautifully constructed environment of seclusion in a pretty English countryside without phones. I especially enjoyed the letters they echanged. It was sweet and funny at the sametime. For a second there I was worried the love story was going to be about the French guy Alexis but thankfully I was wrong. To be honest I don't think I would find the story so amusing if that were the case.
In conclusion, I thought this would be an easy read, a love story like hundreds I have read and maybe it was but I actually really really loved it and I will be thinking about it for days after reading it. Good work!:)
