I thought this book was going to be good... and it wasn't just good it was great. It was such a raw read and with everything going on in the world at the moment I feel it will resonate with a lot of people. I loved the unusual format of the book being in letters addressed to the mans therapist as he struggles to cope with a terrorist attack that has turned Michaels whole life upside down. The writing style is unique and easy to follow yet even though the letters are addressed to his therapist Angela, it feels like they are meant for you. Michael is a retired headteaher who lost his wife in a terrorist attack and with it his sense of happiness as he tries to deal with all the emotions of losing someone he loved in such a barbaric way. in simple words I loved this book. The cover is also really fitting with the storyline.
