I adored reading this book! I got through it so quickly and immediately reread it. The character building was spot on - the development of characters wasn't just some instantaneous 'you are now perfect and will never do a bad thing ever again' but took time and understanding. You get to see characters grow and mature and it describes a world of genetic modification perfectly - the science is spot on and it's clear the author did his research before writing instead of just guessing the science which he could've done given that it is about the future of genetic modification which obviously hasn't been created yet. The book flows effortlessly from chapter to chapter and seamlessly between different time periods as Muchamore describes his characters though their lives. It's an easy book to read and I highly recommend!
