This book gave you two different narratives of Zoe's life: life as it currently was for Zoe and life as it was before everything went wrong. As a reader, you side with the character of Zoe, really sympathising with her and wanting to help her get out of the situation she is in. The book is written in such a way that even after only reading a couple of pages, you know that the main character is going to have the fight for her life.
I thought I had a rough idea of how the book would progress ... I thought wrong. The book takes many unpredictable turns, which keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire book. In this book you should trust no character, as it is likely they have an ulterior motive.
Although this book was a good read, I only rated it 3 stars as the ending disappointed me a little. I wanted to know a little more about the new life the character was leading and how she dealt with her mental state after everything she had to go through. In my opinion the book ended rather abruptly, and I found myself asking a lot of questions. This book is definitely worth a read though!
