I don't normally read this sort of genre i'm more into romance but i'm trying to broaden my reading ability.
When i first saw the cover i thought, i'm not sure i'm going to like this but he had me hooked from the first couple of pages, the cover doesn't suggest it's a murder mystery, wasn't expecting it to be written so well either.
The chapters are the right length and keep the pace of the book moving along and you don't feel like it's not getting anywhere with some other books.
It's based around a submarine in the Atlantic in the 80's in the Cold War, i've never read about wars before so this was completely new for me, the characters where really good, the suspense and twist at the end was brilliant i never saw that coming. I surprised myself by really enjoying it.
