I'm not really familiar with this time history, no am I usually a fan of historical novels, but I was quite surprised to find that I quite enjoyed it.

In 1983, three hundred feet beneath the Atlantic, submarine Lieutenant Bill Guth receives the order to launch their nuclear missiles in a retaliatory strike against the USSR. however, something goes wrong one person ends up dead.
Fast forward to 2019, a historian asks Bill about the incident all those years back. Bill refuses to answer, and that night he ends up dead.

The story flicks back and forth between two time zones; the present day and in the 1980's. Bill is thrown into chaos as he becomes under suspicion. The pacing of this book is nice, with some good tension scenes. I couldn't figure out the mystery until I was close to the end.

Overall, it isn't my type of book, but I still found the history interesting.
