This book was a page turner. It was a dark story with lots of twists and turns. However, none of the characters were nice, likeable people and it felt a little like watching a car crash but without any real sympathy for anyone.

We are thrown into the life of Lily, a child star who as an adult is failing to hit the big time despite her famous show-biz family. She decides that signing up to a fauxmance with a old 'friend' from school, to help him hide his homosexuality could give her the kickstart she needs. From here we watch as she sabotages her own life and friendships. She is surrounded by vain, vacuous and thoroughly unpleasant people who are difficult to have any sympathy for.

The story in general was well-written as were the characters but the ending was a real disappointment which felt rushed and not in sync with the rest of the book. It was still a great read and one I'd recommend.
