I am finding this book is harder to write a review for than I normally would because it’s difficult to place it in terms of the genre. From the synopsis I thought it would have more of a thriller feel to it than it did for me, but it still had quite a dark atmosphere about it and despite not being my typical choice of story, I found it really enjoyable to read.
I didn’t find the characters particularly likeable but I guess that’s the point of the story and I do think that it’s harder to write difficult and irritating characters, so that was successful from my point of view.
I enjoyed the twist and thought it was well plotted in general. The influencer and celebrity angle gave it a modern feel mixed with the more classic murder mystery storyline.
This is a great book if you are looking for something not too taxing, it’s easy to read and has a decent pace which kept me entertained the whole way through.
