I was definitely hooked on to this book when I first read the first look, the extract being the reason why I decided to get it. It’s a story about a former star, Lily Thane, who struggles as an actress in her thirties. That was until she bumped into her old friend Adam Harker. This is the pivotal moment in which Lily changes her life, discovering dark secrets which lay beneath the surface.
It’s honestly worth a read, each page easily drifted into the next, most definitely captivating me. It was truly an experience to meet such wonderful characters, the story line and the plot being phenomenal! Every turn of the page had me on edge, absolutely obsessing over this pure work of art. Laura Vaughan certainly has a way with her words, her rhythm and flow adds a kick to the writing. I felt that the story was quite tense and gripping, tension being present throughout the book.
