After reading the first chapter of this book I was instantly intrigued about how the story would unfold. And it did, fantastically! The relationships (genuine or otherwise) were complex and were delightful to read.

I specifically enjoyed the mystery of the Thane family, and Lily’s relationship with her mum. Especially that her mums name is never revealed, it adds a level of distance between us and the mother, which Lily feels herself and allows us to connect more with her character.

One thing I would say to improve the book is that a warning should be added to the front regarding the recurring theme of bulimia throughout the book, it is not talked about in great depth but definitely needs to be prefaced before the story begins. I would have still read the book with the warning in the front, but it would have been nice to have some preparation for it.

Overall a wonderful easy read!
