Sometimes you can really enjoy a novel without particularly liking or relating to any of the characters. This is exactly how I felt about Let's Pretend.

I read this book in a day because it was so easy to read, the story was gripping, and ultimately I really wanted to find out who'd done it! There were a number of tiny hints throughout, but I was still kept guessing until the very end. Even when I thought the story was over, there was one final twist that I just didn't see coming.

Lily and Adam are terrible people, but I think as observers we're always captivated by those we see on screen and led to believe that their lifestyles are glamorous and enviable. This is what makes Let's Pretend so captivating - it's like watching a drama play out before your very eyes, with characters that are so real we can almost touch them.

I'd definitely read more books by this author.
