I was a little disappointed with this book, I really liked the blurb, the cover and the first impression. I was very quickly intrigued by the story, the main character and thought it was a gripping idea and something I had never read before. However, the story never quite quenched my appetite and I don’t think it fulfilled the high standard it had set from the start.
The characters were ok, I liked the lead, she was easy to understand and was very real. The male lead was an interesting character with a lot of depth and a sort of love/hate feeling. The other characters never felt very developed, especially considering some of the roles they went to take on.
The story was very interesting and I liked the idea. It did feel a little slow at points, the relevance of parts questionable and could have been removed. I did like there was a bit of everything, drama, love, mystery. I didn’t quite believe the twist though.
I would recommend this book if you want an easy read and a bit of drama. Try not to get your hopes up too much for a big twist, but perhaps I had too high expectations. All in all I did enjoy it.
