I was intrigued by the synopsis os the story and keen to find out what happened to Lily and the life she chose to lead. I was interested so see why she decided to act the part of a lifetime and be the 'girlfriend' of her school friend Adam.
Lily was thrust into the limelight at an early age but the fame didn't last and she took the chance to be seen again on the arm of her friend, a more famous person and the lifestyle to match. The story was a difficult genre to capture, I was expecting more of a thriller type read but the lifestyle she was striving for was the real tale of this. The characters were all decidedly unlikeable but I felt that added more to the story as it showed the grim reality of selling your sole to achieve fame.
There were a few twists to the tale but ultimately I she's no tears over the death of Adam and Lily never really grew on me either, or her half attempts at uncovering the truth.
