I was expecting this to be your cliché, over-done ‘fake boyfriend who ends up falling for the girl’ storyline but now this is far more interesting!
Having read the opening to the book, I really like the way it is written and I feel like it is setting itself up to be a very interesting read.
I’m sensing Death on the Nile vibes but perhaps a more modern vibe to it. Can’t wait to read more and find out who the murderer is and how it’s linked to her! There are a lot of these ‘who done it’ kind of style books coming out at the moment where it involves a couple - I am thinking Gone Girl and Girl on the Train - but this one definitely has a darker and more interesting feel to it. My mind is already racing wondering how things could go so wrong only having read the opening and the blurb itself so I can definitely see it will be a good tension builder and a proper gripping book!
