As an avid reader I quickly knew Holly Bourne was one of my favourite authors and the writer of 'Like Other Girls' has a very similar writing technique. This is one of the many reasons that I love this book. To have my own copy would be amazing.
The plot is thrilling and goes against the social norms and stereotypes of teenage girls. You instantly fall in love with Lauren (the main character) and continue to be on her side throughout the rest of the story. Her character is strong and admirable. And that is something the writer has cleverly done to make you feel more connected to the story and the characters. You feel the need to back up Lauren and become invested in the story, emotionally and physically.
The actual writing is easy to read and flows smoothly. You feel all sorts of emotions as you go through the book. And you will not want to put it down until you have finished it. Great read!
