This book has been sitting in my 'to read' pile for months and now I've finished it I have no idea why it took me so long to pick it up! It's gripping from the start, with an intense opener where the main character loses her sin in a busy market. From there things get pretty dark but there is a great sense of humanity within all the characters.
The author does a great job of showing all sides to the story, intruding is to all the characters with their flaws on show.
I did predict the ending to a extent a few chapters before the reveal, but the twists of the how and why and where kept me interested right to the end.
I've not read one of this author's books before but now I will have to seek out the rest; if they're half as good as this one I will be very happy! What a great psychological thriller, I couldn't put it down by the end! Definitely would recommend to all.
