What an utter delight of a book this shapes up to be! Written in a wonderfully light, conversational style, the story is broken into short episodes. On the surface, each of them tells a story of a different dog, including their breed and age, but in reality, fidos are a handy excuse to explore the lives of others.
Because you see, this is what Kate MacDougall wants to tell us about. The two-legged highly-evolved creatures, that keep on stumbling from one misadventure to the next. I cannot wait to read the full book as the opening chapters are just delightful. MacDougall is a born storyteller and world builder. The attention to detail, the perceptiveness, the voice - all of it is mesmerising in its authenticity. Great read.
